Three boards out of the ordinary

We started three not so run of the mill customs today:

A 140x32 asym speed board, a 140x42.5 Cutlass mutant with curved redwood stringers and tiny 112x38 for a special application. We like doing all boards, but it is the unusual ones that are the most interesting

Rob's custom UFO

Hi, Rob here from Raglan. Got out on my new board today and it was as i expected , briiliant!!! Well done Dave and Sue for making the board do what i wanted. The board was great in the chop and performed so well in the waves. I felt very confident hitting the waves at speed and carving along the face even when the waves were covered in chop. Very very pleased. Roll on tomorrow for more great kiting! Cheers Rob

*Thanks Rob. It was a pleasure making you this Katana 140x42.5, with custom flex pattern and Olly B's Raglan graphic. Hope to see some pics of you enjoying it out there soon!

Aliens heading to Raglan...

in their space ships to catch up with the rest of their clan that have settled on the banks of the magic carpet, which provides them (it's rumored) with 300 plus days of kitesurfing a year!

Here are the girls preparing them for the journey -

Betty doing the printing...Su just finishing the lamination, ready to hand it over to DK for trimming, tuning and packing.

Awesome new board hardware

No matter what angle you look at it from the new footstrap/pad combo looks good, has great adjustment options and is comfortable.

The pad can be turned on the inserts to allow for more or less duck and can be shifted closer to the heel-side edge if required.

The handle is large and easy to grip.

The fins are made from the strong and trusted G10.

All the screws and washers are marine grade stainless steel. The slotted fastening system means that you can find an implement to tighten a screw in any situation. All the screws are the same size, so if you do happen to lose one you can use the less important handle screw for the more important fin or strap.

*Here at Decay Kiteboards we enjoy creating the right board for you and that includes providing you with the best hardware options. Our standard hardware is what we believe suits most people best, but if you have extra-ordinary feet we don't force our pad and strap combo on you but instead try to source the hardware that will best suit you.
